Comfortable group accommodation

Located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, 5 minutes from Aviemore, Alltnacriche is a well-equipped residential centre ideal for outdoor activities for schools, with a beautiful hillside setting, accessible from the A9. The centre is surrounded by park and woodland, has superb on-site facilities with a wide range of activities coupled with a range of inspiring visitor options nearby. We have an established team of experienced staff and work with just one group at a time giving you all the freedom you need to make your trip a success.

Alltnacriche accommodates up to 58 people in 12 bunk-bedded dorms and single rooms and has an accessible dorm on the ground floor. Unless your group is very small, you will be the only guests. In the main house, there is a comfortable lounge, conservatory and dining area. There is a separate meeting room with full audio-visual facilities, a large sports hall and games room. Many of the activities are on-site, minimising travel times. Activities are operated within our safety management system and we hold an AALA licence.

Before your stay, we ask for detailed information about pupils’ needs, including dietary requirements, and will tailor the programme to your educational experiences and outcomes. We understand our activities and will advise which will be best for the season and the age range. We offer a parents' information event at your school.
